Terms and Conditions

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before applying or nominating someone for the Doing It ToughProgram. By submitting an application, you agree to these terms and to be bound by them.

1. Program Overview

The Kalanda Hair Doing It Tough Program is a community support initiative created to offer complimentary hair services to individuals experiencing financial hardship. We believe in the power of self-care and confidence and that everyone deserves to feel good, especially during life’s tougher moments.

2. Eligibility

Applicant Eligibility:

  • Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.

  • Applicants must be a resident of the Macedon Ranges or surrounding areas.

  • Applicants must be currently experiencing financial hardship.

Nominee Eligibility:

  • If nominating someone, the nominee must also be 18 years or older, live in the Macedon Ranges or surrounding areas, and be experiencing financial hardship.

3. Application Process

Submission:

  • Applications must be submitted through Kalanda Hair’s designated application form.

  • All information provided must be true and accurate to the best of your knowledge.

Review Process:

  • Each application will be reviewed carefully by Kalanda Hair.

  • Additional information may be requested to confirm eligibility.

  • Submission of an application does not guarantee acceptance.

Confidentiality:

  • All details provided will be kept strictly confidential and used only for the purpose of evaluating eligibility and administering the program.

4. Services Provided

Complimentary Hair Service:

  • Approved applicants or nominees will receive a complimentary salon service, tailored to their needs. This may include a haircut, blow wave, colour service, or treatment, depending on what’s most appropriate.

Service Duration and Limits:

  • One complimentary appointment will be provided per approved applicant/nominee.

  • Additional appointments may be considered on a case-by-case basis and are not guaranteed.

Service Availability:

  • Appointments will be subject to stylist availability and must be booked during standard operating hours.

5. Expectations and Conduct

Respectful Behaviour:

  • Recipients are expected to treat Kalanda Hair staff and the salon space with kindness and respect.

  • Any behaviour deemed disrespectful, dishonest, or inappropriate may result in exclusion from the program.

Honesty and Integrity:

  • This program is designed to support those truly in need. We kindly ask for honesty and integrity when applying or nominating others.

6. Privacy and Data Protection

Use of Personal Information:

  • All personal information collected will be used solely for assessing eligibility and managing participation in the program.

Data Security:

  • Kalanda Hair is committed to protecting your information and ensuring it is stored securely.

7. General Conditions

Non-Transferable:

  • The complimentary service is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash, retail products, or other services.

Program Changes or Termination:

  • Kalanda Hair reserves the right to modify, pause, or cancel the program at any time without prior notice.

  • If changes occur, existing applicants or recipients will be contacted where possible.

Limitation of Liability:

  • Kalanda Hair will not be held responsible for any loss, dissatisfaction, or damages resulting from participation in the program or the salon services provided.

Acceptance of Terms:

  • By submitting an application, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
